15,16,17 April
We left home round a quarter to five. Mom and I took the train to Schiphol and my dad, grandpa and grandma’s took the car.
I checked in around 6 o’clock. After I checked in, we went to a restaurant and had dinner there.
Around half past 7, we said goodbye and I went to the Duane and security. I left a bottle of apple juice in my bag, cause I thought I had to go through the security before the gate, so I had to hand in the bottle.
The plane left on time and it arrived on time in Frankfurt. I was very quiet at the airport. I drank there a big cup of Coca Cola because I was very thirsty.
Again the plane left on time to Singapore. I sat next to the window as I asked for. In the plain I could’ve took a dinner but I was not hungry so I didn’t take it. I did sleep a bit, maybe one hour in total. I watched two movies (Marley and Me and Twilight). The movies were good. I also listened to some cd’s.
A few hours later we also got some snacks and a breakfast.
When the started the landing, I opened my window screen (it was closed the hole flight so you could sleep if you wanted), and it was beautiful. First I only saw clouds but later there was land too.
We flew to Singapore and I saw lots of boats in the water, and than I mean a lot of boats. There were also houses floating in the water.
The airport of Singapore is very big. I walked on the airport and there came a woman to me. She asked me if I was ok. On my ticked there wasn’t a note of the gate I needed to go. The women helped me with that and she was very nice.
I walked around on the airport, ate something at the Burger King and did some puzzles.
The plane left again on time and I had to go 7 more hours before the plane landed in Adelaide. I sat again next to the window and there was nobody sitting next to me so I had plenty of space. This time I didn’t had to close the window screen. So I could look to the sky. It was dark, but there was thunder so I could see a thing, it was pretty to watch that.
We got dinner and breakfast on the plane. I did sleep for another hour and watched a movie (Yes Man). The rest of the time I was just sitting and did some puzzles.
When I arrived, I needed to go to the passport check (there was a long row) and when I got my suitcases, I needed to go through the security again.
On the airport were Hennie, Rob, Marina and Des. It was nice to see them. It took us around a hour to drive to home. They drove along the beach, it was nice weather and the sight of the beach is really beautiful.
For breakfast we ate scones (I ate just one, wasn’t very hungry).
We went to the shopping centre, just a few minutes walk from home. I bought what I needed and walked back home. Marina and Des left in the midday.
In the afternoon Hen and I went to the Veterinary clinic, where I’m going to do my internship.
There are working very nice people. The clinic is big and beautiful. I’m starting Monday at 2 pm and I finish around 8, 9 o’clock in the evening.
It was warm in the car, and when we drove home, I almost fell asleep. But I couldn’t fell asleep at that moment, cause when I did, I couldn’t sleep at night.
For dinner we had fish in a dish. It was very good.
Around eight I was starting my blog on my laptop and felt really tired, I lay down on my bed and fell asleep.

18 April
Today I woke up around 1 pm. So I slept for 17 hours! That’s a long time.
I had some breakfast/lunch and did some things on my laptop.
Around half 11 we went to Corey’s home. We stayed there for about a half hour and drove to Clarissa’s parent’s home where the party was. They have a beautiful home and a great garden. They borrowed a karaoke box. I didn’t do karaoke but later in the evening there were other people who did.
I met a lot of people there, family and friends. I met Angela, t. Henny, o. Gerard, Pascal, Sarah, Antony and a lot of other people. Antony said he likes it when I come over for a couple days to his place with his wife and kids. They live in a place you can see the kangaroo’s jumping around. So that’s a bit different from Hen and Rob’s place.
They barbequed meat and there were a lot of salads to eat for dinner. There were also deserts. Hen and Marina made them and they were lovely.
Around half 11 we were back home and we watched some photo’s Hen and Rob have on cd’s.
I went to sleep at 1 am.

19 April
Today I got up at 1 pm. So I slept a long time again.
In the midday i went to the shopping center to pin some money and had a look in the shops. Hen and Rob introduced me also to the other neighbours. Yesterday they introduced me to the neighbours who’re living the opposite of Hen and Rob. They’re both very nice and I can see them when I have problems or just for the fun.
I went to bed around half 11

20 April
Today I woke up with my alarm clock at 8 o’clock.
I got up so early because Hen asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her.
The rest of the morning I did some things at my laptop.
At 2 o’ clock I started my first day at the veterinary practice.
I already learned a lot of things on my first day. But there’re working a lot of people and I think I will not know all the names of the staff before my 10 weeks of internship are over.
What is funny, there are working 3 other Natasha’s so I’m the fourth one.
Today I saw my first possom, an australian animal, never saw it before. I didn’t hold that one because they can bite and that hurts.
At the end of the day someone asked me if I would hold a cat so she could check him. But he was very grumpy so I’ve got my first cat scratch today, but it wasn’t too bad.
I finished at 9 pm today.
When I came home, I wrote this blog on the laptop and did some puzzles in bed.
I went to bed around half 11.

21 April
Today I woke up at half 10. I ate some watermelon as breakfast, which was very good.
At 12 o’clock we had lunch and at 2 o’clock I started with my second day at the practice.
I worked again in the preparation room. She said it is still too busy in the practice to work at the front (consulting, desk etc.).
Today I worked with a woman called, felicity, she is very nice and knows one word in Dutch: Alsjeblieft, that was nice to hear.
Today I did a lot of cleaning but I also helped some nurses and vets with holding animals.
In the afternoon, there came two dog’s in the practice, they had fight with each other and the vet had to clean the wounds.
Oh and btw, there was another possum today brought in. They thought it was nearly dead but when one of the nurses picked him up, with gloves of course, he was still very aggressive.
Hen picked me up around 9 pm.
At home I did some things at the laptop and I went to my room around half 10.
I couldn’t sleep so I did some puzzles and went to sleep around 1 am.

22 April
Today I got up at 10 am and ate watermelon for breakfast, again and we had lunch round half 12.
This day started a little quieter than the other two days.
Just 2 hours before finishing it started to get busy.
First there came a dog that was pregnant and needed a caesarean. That was the first time I saw that. There were 3 lovely puppy’s born.
After that, there was an orthopaedic surgery and during that surgery there was another dog brought in who was collapsed.
That dog had very watery and bloody diarrhoea. They suspected it had Parvo.
Although they were not sure of that, they moved the dog to the isolation room and cleaned the places he had been and the people that touched him.
I went to bed at 12 pm

23 April
Today I got up at 10 am and ate a beschuit with vruchtenhagel:P
I really don’t have much to tell you.
Just that is was quiet today at the clinic. Instead of finishing at 9 pm, I finished at 8 pm.
Well.. that was it for today, I’ve nothing more to say.
I didn’t took any pictures today.. maybe this weekend..
Oh wait, there is one more thing. It did rain today! And they needed it here in Australia because it was very dry. So that’s a good thing.
I went to bed at half 11.

24 April
I realy don’t know what to say for today..
Only that I have to work next week from 7 am!!!! till 3 pm.. It is nice to be off from work at 3pm but 7am is early!
And again.. no photo’s today..:(

25 April
Today I woke up at 10 am.
I checked my email at the laptop and watched X-Factor.
In the midday we went for a drive in the neighbourhood.
We drove along the beach which was very beautiful. I took some pictures, which was hard because there was a lot of wind. We were lucky, every time we went out the car, it stopped raining so that was a good thing.
We had lunch somewhere (a pizza) which was lovely and around 5pm we were back at home.
When we were back, I watched the last part of X-factor and looked at some things on the internet.
In the evening we watched Midsummer Murders (I could follow it) and when I went to bed, I watched a movie on my ipod.
I went to sleep around 1am.

26 April
Today I set my alarm clock at 7am. I’d wake up but fell asleep again and woke up at 7.45am.
I had a quick shower and we drove away at 8.30am.
We had to get up so early because Hennie and Rob went to a wedding.
We met Marina when we were in Adelaide the city. Hennie and Rob went to the wedding and Marina and I went into the city.
In the morning we went to the botanic garden in Adelaide. With a lot of flowers, plants, trees and cactuses. It was beautiful.
We saw a lot of shops and souvenir shops. I also saw the three pigs in the city, look for a photo on the site.
We ate in a restaurant and I had a hamburger with fries. It was good.
In the midday we went to the house where the wedding was given. Marina left and I stayed.
I met some more people and it was nice. We left in the afternoon and were back at 5pm.
